FAQ Answer #4
- We suggest a horses teeth be examined at least once a year. An efficient and
convenient time to do this is in the fall when the Influenza and Rhinopnuemonitis
booster is due. Horses have the greatest caloric demand during cold weather. Hay
stored throughout the winter becomes less palatable and less nutritious, therefore
requiring better mastication.
Checking teeth, notice light in speculum illuminating interior of mouth.
